FORCE was established in 1987 and since that time has raised over £4 million to support a range of cancer services in Devon.
FORCE Cancer Support Centre
In September 2004 FORCE opened a purpose-built Cancer Support Centre in the grounds of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, thanks to nearly £900,000 raised by local people.
The Centre welcomes anyone whose life is affected by cancer and this includes families, friends and carers Visitors to the Centre will find a whole range of non-clinical cancer services:
· Information and advice
· Support & Counselling
· Complementary Therapies
· Support Groups
· Relaxation Groups
· Look Good,Feel better sessions
All services within the Centre are funded by FORCE, so there is no charge and referrals aren’t necessary. This means people can call in when it is convenient to them.
